The RunRecovTM test strip is a tool for endurance athletes training for or participating in endurance events that provides a low cost, fast and accurate indication of hydration and nutritional recovery after an endurance event. Proper recovery can provide peak performance and reduce chances for injury. Strenuous endurance events such as biking, competitions, cross country skiing, hiking, running, swimming and other sports may cause elevated ketones in the urine and/or dehydration. The RunRecovTM test strip is a simple to use urinalysis test strip that provides a quick and accurate measurement of urine Ketone and Specific Gravity. Simply insert a test strip into the urine stream for 2 seconds, remove and shake off urine drops, within 35-45 seconds for the Ketone and 40-50 second for the Specific Gravity compare the color to the color bar on the bottle to measure the urine Ketone and Specific Gravity. If either the Ketone or Specific Gravity measured is outside the Normal ranges, the athlete should consider further rehydrating, eating, and resting until both tests are within Normal ranges before training for or participating in an endurance event. The RunRecovTM test strip is not a guarantee that you are fully recovered from an endurance event since there are far too many variables involved with recovery. The RunRecovTM is only intended to be used as an additional tool in your recovery efforts. The ketone portion of the RunRecovTM strip may not indicate Normal if you are in ketosis on a very low carb diet or taking ketone supplements.
